Kim Hight Participates in the 23rd Genesis Awards Silent Auction to Benefit The Humane Society

Kim Hight donated two original pieces of art to The Humane Society that were auctioned at the 23rd Genesis Awards silent auction held in Beverly Hills, California on March 28, 2009.

The Genesis Awards, presented by the Hollywood office of The HSUS, pays tribute to the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works in television, film, print and the arts which raise public understanding of animal issues.  The nation’s premiere consciousness-raiser, the Genesis Awards are presented annually at a star-studded ceremony drawing representatives from the media, entertainment, social, business and humane communities.

The after-party featured a high-end silent auction with many luxury items and previewed before the ceremony on the night of the awards.  Kim Hight donated a 16x20 original oil painting of a Scarlett Macaw.  She also donated a gift certificate for a 16x20 original oil painting of the pet or animal of the winning bidder’s choice.
